Plant transformation research continues to be a challenge for scientists around the world. Scientists working in Africa have had unique challenges and successes advancing plant transformation research. This panel discussion will be an opportunity for African scientists to share their personal research experiences while hearing from six expert scientists. Panelists will share their experience working through regulatory issues, developing protocols, creating successful research strategies, and addressing region-specific challenges. Attendees are encouraged to share their perspective through small group discussions. Responses will be collected and used to plan future PlantGENE events. This discussion is an opportunity to network, learn from experts, and take action to address plant transformation challenges.

The live panel discussion will be 2 hours and will include a Q&A from the panelists, small group discussions, and larger group networking.
